MOSCOW, JUNE 2 (RIA Novosti) - In two years, the volume of Russian software export can increase from the present 500 million to two billion dollars, Valentin Makarov, board member of the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises, told the briefing on the June 9-11 forum Russian Outsourcing and Software Summit.

To Makarov, "they are real figures if the world market is active and we together with the state continue support for the higher school and the sector in general".

In turn, Oleg Byakhov, head of the board to coordinate the federal target programme Electronic Russia at the Russian Communication Ministry, said that the Russian software market is growing by 20 percent annually, though owing to domestic consumption.

The entire national software market exceeds 6 billion dollars' worth, Byakhov added.

He positively assessed the fact that the forum will be attended by representatives of India, which is the software leader.

Byakhov said that India's export is dozens of times more than Russia's and "this situation has to be changed".

He said that in autumn the cabinet will consider the concept of development of the information technology market.

The fourth international conference, earlier known as the Software Outsourcing Summit, will be held in St.Petersburg on June 9-11. It is the foremost event for software developers in Russia, countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and East Europe.
