NALCHIK, June 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President's authorized representative in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Yakovlev has confirmed the arrest of two suspects of Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov's murder.
Two Chechens aged 22 and 28 were arrested, Mr. Yakovlev told journalists in Nalchik (North Caucasus). In his words, these people can be directly involved in the assassination.
A great number of people were interrogated during the investigation, he added. Much depends on the further course of the investigation, Vladimir Yakovlev said. According to him, it is necessary to collect evidence to transfer the case to the court.
Akhmad Kadyrov was killed in a terrorist act at Grozny's stadium on May 9.
