XIANGGANG (HONG KONG), June 10 (RIA Novosti's Mark Zavadsky) - Hong Kong companies are to invest into Siberia and Russia's Far East, Invest Hong Kong Associate Director-General Mark Michelson told RIA Novosti on Thursday.
A group of Hong Kong businessmen led by Secretary for Finance of Xianggang Special Administrative Region Henry Tang is visiting Chinese provinces bordering on the Russian Federation.
According to Mr. Michelson, possibilities to develop Hong Kong investment in the Far East and Siberia will be discussed with local authorities and businessmen.
"I expect several Hong Kong firms to soon become partners of Chinese companies already working in Russia," he noted.
Invest Hong Kong is a state agency helping foreign companies in Xianggang.
