BELGRADE, June 13 (RIA Novosti) - Traditional relations of Serbia and Montenegro with Russia should "have more to do with economy", Serbia and Montenegro's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Draskovic said in an interview with popular Belgrade newspaper Politika in comment on his recent visit to Moscow.

Serbia and Montenegro should correct its erroneous policies in regard to Russia. Ages of spiritual connections between Serbs and Montenegrins and Russians should now have to do more with economy," he told the newspaper.

"This means that [we] must cease to underestimate the world economic contribution of present-day Russia, which we [rarely did] after the democratic reforms of 2000," he said.

Draskovic said that Serbia and Montenegro were interested in prompt construction of an oil pipeline from Romanian Constanta to the Serbian town of Pancevo and of a gas pipeline from Sofia to Nis and further through Serbia, as he said, to Western Europe.
