RUSSIAN PRIME MINISTER ATTENDS PETERSBURG ECONOMIC FORUM

SAINT PETERSBURG, June 15 (RIA Novosti's Anna Novak) - Chairman of the Russian government Mikhail Fradkov arrived in Saint Petersburg. As the RIA Novosti correspondent reports, on Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister was welcomed in the Pulkovo airport by the Russian President's plenipotentiary in the Northwest Federal District Ilya Klebanov, governor of the Northern Capital Valentina Matviyenko and governor of the Leningrad region Valery Serdyukov.

From the airport Mikhail Fradkov went to the Tavrichesky Palace where the Petersburg Economic Forum had started its work.

The programme of the Prime Minister's working visit also includes visiting the circular highway and a conference with the heads of the city administration devoted to the problems of Saint Petersburg.

On Wednesday, Mikhail Fradkov will visit the town of Vysotsk and Primorsk in the Leningrad region where a conference will take place devoted to the development of port complexes in the Northwest Federal District.

Ilya Klebanov and Valery Serdyukov will take part in the conference.

On Wednesday evening, Mikhail Fradkov will conclude his working visit to the Northern Capital and the Leningrad region.
