MOSCOW, June 15 (RIA Novosti) - Only eight out of the whole number of current federal target programs (FTPs) will be financed in 2005 without change. The Economic Development and Trade Minister, German Gref said this on Tuesday at a meeting of the President with the members of the Government .
Other programs, in his words, will be 'reformatted' and the carrying out of a number of other programs will be suspended because they have proved to be ineffective.
The Minister also said that the Government together with the group of experts have been working for five months on the assessment of the federal programs. In his words, at the Government meeting on Thursday the results of this work will be presented.
Putin in his turn asked Gref to report to him on this issue at a separate meeting. "I am not against the existence of federal programs, but there are disputes concerning this issue and I want to negotiate with you," said the President.
