MOSCOW, June 15 (RIA Novosti) - The analysis of the results of privatization processes will not entail punishment, Sergei Stepashin, the head of Russia's Audit Chamber, said Tuesday at a meeting with a delegation of the international rating agency Fitch Ratings led by Edward Parker, the director for Russia and CIS countries.

"The aim of the analysis of privatization results being completed by the Audit Chamber does not mean de-privatization or achievement of some other results of a punishing nature, but the working out of well-substantiated financial-economic conclusions that might be taken into account during further privatization processes," Stepashin said.

In his opinion, the analysis of privatization results will end the controversial period of privatization processes that took place in conditions of a non-established legislation, reports the Audit Chamber information and public relations departments.

"This will quiet both Russian society and the entrepreneurs, including foreign investors," Stepashin believes.
