The theme of the exhibit was chosen not by chance, as the SCO was set up to combat the threats and challenges drugs and terrorism pose.
Combating drugs is especially important to Central Asian countries because large amounts of drugs are grown and produced in Afghanistan and then sent to other countries through these states. Incidentally, the situation regarding drugs is far from being normal in Central Asian countries.
The photographs at the exhibit depict the consequences of the terrorist attacks in the United States, Turkey, Dagestan, Chechnya, Moscow and in other parts of the world. They confirm once more that terrorism does not have borders and that the fight against it must be a global effort.
The second part of the exhibit consists of pictures drawn by drug addict children that are being treated at Kvartal, an addiction clinic in Moscow. The theme of this part to the exhibit is: "From Horror to Light and Life."
