QUENTIN TARANTINO IN MOSCOW

MOSCOW, June 18 (RIA Novosti) - American film director Quentin Tarantino who arrived in Moscow yesterday shared his impressions of the Russian capital with journalists. According to him, he saw so many monuments to writers for the first time.

"I saw this neither in America nor in England. Few countries can boast such great contribution into world literature," the director said.

In his words, Nobel Prize Boris Pasternak is his favorite Russian writer. Therefore, he wants to visit his tomb in Peredelkino.

Quentin Tarantino spoke about his yesterday's visit to the Moscow Cinema Museum. He was very excited to see the real camera of great Sergei Eisenshtein and now he is willing to study Russian cinematography.

On Friday Quentin Tarantino will present his "Kill Bill. Vol. 2" at the opening ceremony of the 26th Moscow international film festival.

"I do not shoot films only for the US. I always visit several countries to see people's attitude to my films. It helps me in my work. I know that my films are popular in Russia and this visit gives me a possibility to thank my fans," the director noted.
