"I try not to think about the French Open, it is a thing of the past," the winner of the recent French Open tournament of the Grand Slam series said.
Asked about her assessment of her opponent in the second round of the competition - Aniko Kapros of Hungary, Ms. Myskina reacted promptly, "Oh, nothing good about it. Since she beat Nadya Petrova on the fast courts in Australia, she is a 'dark horse': she can play well, and can play badly. It remains to me only to settle to win and to play as I usually do."
Commenting on the other Russian women tennis players' chances on the Wimbledon courts, Ms. Myskina said, "I am always for wins by our girls. The more they win the higher the prestige of Russian tennis. It is a pity that there are many of our girls in the lower part of the tournament table, I would like to see more of them advance to the level of quarterfinals and higher than that."
