BEIJING, June 24 (RIA Novosti) - China expects positive results from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's forthcoming visits to South and North Koreas, the Chinese Foreign Ministry's official spokesperson told RIA Novosti in Beijing.
"China supports efforts aimed at the Korean settlement and we hope for positive results of this visit," she said.
Sergei Lavrov is to visit Seoul and Pyongyang in the near future.
Now Beijing is hosting the third roundtable of regional six-sided talks aimed to stop North Korean military nuclear programs.
According to the spokesperson, the sides presented detailed plans of nuclear settlement and are aimed at progress. The Russian, Chinese and Japanese delegations set out their positions on Thursday, the second day of the third round.
