Journalists were told this on the day before by chief of a strict-regime prison of Great Britain Max Morrison who is also a research associate of the International Prison Research Centre.
Having noted cleanness and good order in the colonies' dwelling and production premises, he also expressed a few concrete wishes on maintaining such order also in isolation wards.
As RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the Krasnoyarsk Main Penal Directorate (GUIN) of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Justice, the working trip of the British experts was made within the joint project on prison partnership, which had been earlier agreed upon by Russia and Great Britain. Along with visiting several local colonies with a general or strict regime, the British experts held a seminar with their Siberian counterparts.
The experts took an interest in the experience of the staff of the GUIN of the Krasnoyarsk Territory whose correctional colonies boast practice of allowing convicts to meet their relatives for up to 72 hours, which has positive effect on convicts' psychology.
