The Russian President together with his Ukrainian and Belarussian peers attended the opening ceremony of Druzhba (Friendship) 2004 international youth festival.
This forum dedicated to the Youth Day has been held in Sinkivka near the Friendship Monument at the trilateral border for 30 years now.
The final stage of the festival, called Youth Days, involves up to 50,000 youngsters, with music concerts, sport events, a great international fair, and an exhibition of traditional handicrafts.
Putin, Kuchma, and Lukashenko will attend the concert near the Monument, and the Russian president will also visit the Slavic Village show.
Then the Russian head of state will proceed to the Ukrainian city of Novhorod- Siverskyy to lay a wreath to the monument to victims of the WWII, visit the local Spaso-Preobrazhensky (Transfiguration) Monastery, and attend a popular theater show.
