TBILISI, June 27 (RIA Novosti) -- Under the presidential decree, all clocks in Georgia are set one hour behind on Sunday, the Office of State told Novosti-Georgia.

The decree was published in the Georgian press on June 8. The reasons for the change in the time zone, according to the document, are "the geographical position of the country, processes of European integration, and a recommendation of the Time and Frequency Service of the Standards, Metrology, and Certification Department of Georgia."

Therefore Georgia changes daylight-saving time for geographical standard time.

The presidential decree recommends all state and other organizations to shift the beginning of the working day by an hour behind.

The Foreign Ministry is assigned to notify the Executive Secretariat of the European Commission of the move.
