TEHRAN, June 27 (RIA Novosti's Nikolai Terekhov) -- Official representative of the Iranian foreign ministry Hamid Reza Assefi confirmed Iran's commitment to broaden uranium enrichment research and production and installation of centrifuge elements.

"Iran had suspended these works on its own accord under an agreement with three European nations - UK, Germany and France," he told a Sunday news conference.

However, he said, "these states have violated their obligations adopted in October last year on Iranian nuclear programs."

"In this light we feel free of moral obligations, and we will go on producing and installing elements of centrifuges," the Iranian diplomat said.

Assefi also remarked that Iran was ready to cooperate and negotiate with European countries on the issue of Iranian nuclear programs.

The official representative of the Iranian foreign ministry also confirmed peaceful orientation of Iran's nuclear projects developed within the framework of an additional Protocol to the Nuclear Weapons Nonproliferation Treaty and said that Iran was ready to cooperate with IAEA.

In response to RIA Novosti's question, Hamid Reza Assefi condemned the recent terrorist raid in the Russian province of Ingushetia where 98 were killed and 105 wounded on June 22.

"We consider any act implying use of force and killing innocent people a terrorist attack," he said.

"All problems must be solved by dialogue, within the framework of law and constitution," Dr. Assefi added.
