The conference program includes plenary sessions "The contents and problems of international and foreign economic activities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation" and "Interregional cooperation in Europe: experience, prospects and problems", said the press service of the Vologda regional administration.
On June 30 the conferees will discuss the following issues: "Russian regions and the WTO" and "The legal base and personnel training in the sphere of international and foreign economic activities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation."
Moreover, Veliky Ustyug (a town in the region's northeast, 350 km from Vologda) will host a visiting session entitled "Cultural exchange and development of tourism as an important factor of interregional integration in Europe."
Governors of Oulu and Lapland provinces (Finland), Borsod-Abauj-Zemplen county (Hungary), chairman of the Presov regional self-government (Slovakia), honorary chairman of Luxembourg's State Council Marcel Sauber, heads of Bulgarian and Swedish regional authorities, Council of Europe experts from Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Finland, France and Sweden, representatives of international organizations, federal ministries and departments, constituent members of the Russian Federation, scientists and businessmen will participate in the forum.
The conference is organized by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Council of Europe and the regional government.
