MINSK, June 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russian and Belarussian customs officers are all ready to work in a united customs environment and face an upcoming administrative customs border abolition, reassured Mikhail Vanin, Russia's State Customs Committee president.

He was addressing newsmen in Minsk, Belarussian capital, where he now is for a customs service chiefs session of the EURASEC, Eurasian Economic Community, and of the Russo-Belarussian union.

All customs arrangement are prepared to shift to united work. There are only certain details to coordinate on customs tariff unification, added Mr. Vanin. He is sure unified tariffs will cancel many current bilateral issues.

Tariffs may be unified quite soon if both countries display political goodwill and involved ministries make proper orders. Mr. Vanin wishes to see tariffs unified before the year ends. Such quickness will promote both countries' interests, he said.

The Eurasian Economic Community brings together five post-Soviet countries-Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Another three-Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine-have observers' status on it.
