"We contact the Russian authorities who assured us of the search for, detention and punishment of the attackers and of extra security measures near the consular department," the French embassy told RIA Novosti.
The work of the visa service was resumed on Wednesday morning. "The consulate is doing its best to consider applications in time," RIA Novosti's interlocutor said.
We were shocked by the attack on our colleague, Martine Jeanne Cecile Le Goff on July 5 night and on July 6 the visa service ceased its work, he added.
Martine Jeanne Cecile Le Goff was attacked by her apartment on Monday.
According to her colleague, the woman's cellphone and money were not stolen, therefore, she was attacked because of a visa refusal.
"Unfortunately, we have to follow the instructions and often refuse visas and some people bitterly react to it as if they don't understand that we must follow the instructions. We are convinced that our colleague was attacked for this reason," RIA Novosti's interlocutor noted.
