"The coordination of important bilateral actions planned for this year," Mr. Yakovenko said, "including Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's official visit to Russia and the next session of Russian-Italian council on economic, industrial and currency and financial cooperation will hold an important place in these talks."
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers will consider the implementation of the agreements reached during Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Italy in November, 2003, the diplomat said.
"In view of mutual interest in further deepening of cooperation on international affairs, during visit a joint document on mutual understanding between the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Italian Foreign Ministry is planned to be adopted," he noted.
The parties also will consider prospects of cooperation in economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres. Mr. Lavrov will also meet with Angelo Sodano, the secretary of state secretary of the Vatican.
