TBILISI, July 22 (RIA Novosti) - The Gazexport company (Gazprom's subsidiary) has cut natural gas supplies to Tbilisi from 370,000 to 200,000 cubic meters daily.

It was caused by the accumulation of debts for current gas supplies, the Tbilgazi gas-distributing joint stock company run by the New Management told Novosti-Georgia agency.

At the moment Tbilgazi has stopped gas supplies to some Tbilisi districts.

If the Finance Ministry unblocks Tbilgazi accounts, the company will transfer $500,000 to Gazexport on Friday, July 23. In compliance with the existing agreement, it is needed to restore the former volume of gas supplies, the company said. Tbilgazi accounts were blocked in connection with the company's tax debt to the state budget.

All in all, Tbilisi's debt for gas supplies in 2004 is about $10 million.
