KIEV, July 25 (RIA Novosti) - Five bodies have not been recovered yet in a coal mine blasted last Monday after dogged search, in which rescuers made 780 meters in a tunnel 1,300 meters long. Works are on to degas the ventilation tunnel and cool down the burned-out place, reports the press service of Ukraine's Emergencies Ministry.

The Krasnolimanskaya mine is in the town of Rodinskoye, Donetsk coal basin in the Ukrainian east.

A blast hit it late Monday afternoon to start conflagration at a 997-meter depth, when 48 workers were in. Twelve were rescued. One of the 31 recovered bodies has not been identified to this day.

The government has allocated 8.5 million hrivnas, or $1.6 million, for aid to the bereaved.

The prosecutor general's office has launched criminal proceedings.
