The talks are expected to focus on the coordination of the two countries' efforts on countering new threats and challenges, terrorism and WMD proliferation in the first place.
According to Official Spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Yakovenko, Russia-NATO relations, situation in Iraq, Mideast settlement, and latest developments in Afghanistan will also be on the table.
Cooperation between Russia and the European Union is expected to be one to core issues, Yakovenko said.
"The ministers will consider the entire scope of issues pertaining to the development and strengthening of strategic partnership between Russia and the European Union. In particular, [they] will discuss a possibility to draw a road map for each of these issues. The sides will consider the implementation of the Moscow Russia-EU Summit decision to settle problems related to the EU enlargement, and cargo transit between "mainland" Russia and Kaliningrad (the Russian Baltic exclave - Ed.)," Yakovenko went on.
In addition to politics, the Russian and Spanish foreign ministers will discuss some economic and cultural cooperation issues.
