"We are preparing a long-term forecasting balance on the gas deliveries to Ukraine and plan to sign it perhaps on Thursday or Friday next week in Moscow," Mr. Miller said at the Russo-Ukrainian business-forum in Yalta.
Just like the last year the main products of the Russian export in Ukraine were oil (over 35% of the total export volume) and natural gas (18.3%).
All in all, fuel and energy goods amounted to 62% of the total volume of the Russian export in Ukraine.
Russia's stable provision of the Ukrainian economy with energy resources is one of the important factors of the constant work of the Ukrainian industrial and agricultural enterprises, obtainment of the proper economic growth and consequently the growth of export.
In accordance with the intergovernmental agreement on the transit of the Russian gas across the territory of Ukraine, in 2004 Gazprom will deliver to Ukraine 26 billion cubic meters of natural gas in consideration of the transit cost.
