MOSCOW, July 30 (RIA Novosti) - Free medical aid will not be abolished in Russia, Minister of Health and Social Development Mikhail Zurabov said live on the Ekho Moskvy radio station.
Some media earlier reported about possible abolishment of free medical aid in Russia.
"Now legislative activity in the government and the State Duma is sparking numerous absurd suppositions. One of them is the supposition that free medical aid in the Russian Federation will be abolished," the minister said.
"I have no information about any healthcare reform that does not involve the Ministry of Health and Social Development," said Mr. Zurabov. "And the Ministry of Health and Social Development has submitted no initiatives to change today's mechanisms of free medical aid yet," he added.
