MADRID, August 2 (RIA Novosti's Juan Cobo) - Russia's Pavel Zadanyuk has taken first place in the European Sand Sculpture Contest in the Spanish town of Vinaros, Castellon.
His sculpture depicting a swimming woman impressed the jury by its beauty and perfection. The author received 3,000 euros of prize money. Moreover, his sculpture was even recognised the best by the public.
Spain was for the first time hosting such an unusual contest. It was taking place on the Forti city beach throughout a week.
