MOSCOW, August 2 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the personnel and veterans of the Russian Airborne Troops on their professional holiday, the Kremlin's press-service told RIA Novosti.
The congratulation letter reads in part:
"I congratulate the personnel and the veterans of the Russian Airborne Troops on their professional holiday.
"The history of the Airborne Troops is full of examples showing devoted service to the Fatherland, duty and the oath. 'The Winged Infantry' gained love and respect for the patriotism and intrepidity as well as for the ability to win in the most difficult conditions.
"Today, warriors in blue berets cherish and multiply the glorious battle traditions of the Airborne Troops. All of you are always present where the situation is difficult, when your professionalism and battlecraft are needed."
