The session of Cote d'Ivoire settlement was held in Ghana from July 29 to 30 under the chairmanship of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and Ghana's President John Kufuor, also chairman of the Economic Community of West African States.
An agreement consolidating and detailing previous agreements was signed following the session.
"It implies a number of amendments in the Constitution and other basic legal acts, normalization of activities of power bodies, and practical steps on the implementation of disarmament, demobilization and reintegration programs," the Foreign Ministry said.
"The Joint Control Commission comprising representatives of the UN, the African Union and the Economic Community of West African States is to boost the implementation of this agreement," the Foreign Ministry added.
