MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) -- According to Nezavisimaya Gazeta, the Federal Agency for Federal Property announced yesterday that the normative price of the 7.59% of LUKoil shares would be 36.758 billion rubles ($1.25 billion). This is the bottom price for the company's shares. Analysts remark that the declared sum is far lower than the market price of LUKoil shares, which is $1.75 billion.
Experts are inclined to believe that this price was fixed by an independent expert, and it is unclear what considerations the expert was guided by when setting the fair price of LUKoil shares at such a low level. Possibly, 36.758 billion rubles is the minimum price, and the government expects the stocks to soar during trading, the publication reports.
