"People to whom the EU has banned the issue of visa will not come to Greece", the Greek diplomat said.
Asked if Sivakov may come to Greece while the official ban to enter the EU countries has not yet become public, the Greek ministerial spokesman replied negatively.
Earlier on Friday, the European Union leadership said that it sees "utterly out of place" the presence of Sivakov at the Athens Olympics.
Sivakov was called "one of the key figures" in the special report of the Parliamentary Assembly of Europe and the Council of Europe because of the cases of people disappearing in Belarus.
In turn, the Belarussian Foreign Ministry has declared that it sees neither reasons nor grounds for the Greek visa denial to the head of the Belarussian Olympic delegation.
"The use of the format of the Olympic Games for further political pressure on Belarus is counterproductive and is not conducive to revival of Belarus-EU political dialogue", reads the statement of the Belarussian Foreign Ministry.
