WASHINGTON, August 7 (RIA Novosti) -- No bidder at a popular US Internet auction showed interest in buying a fully operable and fit for service MIG-29 jet fighter put up for sale at the starting price of $3.5 million.

According to the Arizona-based engineering company Landa and Associates the fighter had been purchased in Kyrgyzstan and is currently stored in the USA in an excellent spick-and-span condition.

The company claims that the plane, recently registered by the US Aviation Administration, was manufactured in Russia in 1986. Its registration number is 63946. The fighter's total flight time is 110 hours.

The plane was put up for sale in its full (non-export) modification complete with a combat radar and other electronic gear which, according to Landa and Associates, had been pried open and closely examined by US Air Force experts. The company claims that it is ready to deliver the MIG-29 to any "serious buyer" located in any part of the USA.

More than 21,000 visitors of the auction's site viewed the page announcing sale of the fighter jet over the ten days of online bidding, but none of them showed interest in buying the aircraft.

The same company is also trying to sell an American F-18 fighter jet online at a starting price of $1.5 million, yet so far it has failed to find a buyer for that plane either.
