DEPUTY PM ZHUKOV APPOINTED CO-CHAIRMAN OF RUSSO-CHINESE COMMISSION

MOSCOW, August 10 (RIA Novosti) - Alexander Zhukov, deputy prime minister, will head the Russian part of the Russo-Chinese commission for co-operation in education, culture, healthcare and sports. Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov has signed a resolution to the effect, the government press service reported on Tuesday.

Mr. Fradkov has also appointed chairmen of the Russian subcommissions of the Russo-Chinese commission.

The subcommission for education will be headed by Grigory Balykhin, head of the Federal Education Agency; the subcommission for cultural co-operation by Mikhail Shvydkoi, head of the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography, the subcommission for healthcare co-operation by Vyacheslav Prokhorov, head of the Federal Agency for Healthcare and Social Development; and the subcommission for co-operation in sports and tourism by Vyacheslav Fetisov, head of the Federal Agency for Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.
