The visit's purpose is to consolidate anti-drug cooperation and exchange experience, said Anu Adra, spokesperson for the Estonian Interior Ministry.
The delegation comprises 13 officials of the drug control commission and Russian Interior Ministry from St. Petersburg, Karelia, the Pskov and Kaliningrad regions.
The delegates will meet with director general of the Estonian police department Robert Antropov and other heads of the country's law enforcement bodies.
Estonian and Russian colleagues will discuss the fight against drug trafficking, slave trade and hijacking. The Russian delegates will see new principles of Estonian criminal proceedings, local policemen training system and the new electronic police system, which is currently introduced in Estonia.
The Russian guests will tell their Estonian colleagues about the changes in the Russian Interior Ministry and drug control committee.
