MOSCOW, August 17. (RIA Novosti) - Seven servicemen have been wounded in an explosion in the Novolakskoye district of Dagestan (a North Caucasian republic bordering on Chechnya), RIA Novosti learned from a source in the Dagestani interior ministry.
"An unidentified explosive device went off yesterday at 1:10 p.m. Moscow time on the road from Khasavyurt to Novolakskoye, when an armored military tractor was carrying servicemen of Chechnya's Nozhai-Yurt military commandant's office," the agency's interlocutor said.
Seven servicemen were taken to hospital, he said.
Investigation has been launched to find the perpetrators, he added.
