ST. PETERSBURG, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - A flower festival will be held in Peterhof, near St. Petersburg, from August 21 to 24.

Florists from St. Petersburg and other Russian cities, the CIS, Japan, New Zealand and India will participate in the festival, the organizing committee told RIA Novosti.

Foreign guests will join other participants on August 24. They will come from the Latvian summit of the International Flower Union comprising professional florists all over the world.

"Thailand's court florist Mr. Po will visit St. Petersburg for the first time," the organizing committee said.

The festival's program includes an international florist exposition in a gallery of the Grand Peterhof Palace. Moreover, local florists will conduct master-classes and show how to create flower masterpieces.

In 2005 Peterhof known as the Russian Versailles will mark its 300th anniversary and host the 17th international florist festival, which is annually held in St. Petersburg.
