CASPIAN FLOTILLA TO BE DRILLED IN DAGESTAN

MAKHACHKALA, August 25 (RIA Novosti) - Command-and-staff exercises of the Caspian flotilla are beginning in Dagestan under the leadership of Vladimir Kuroyedov, commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy.

According to the staff of the exercises, they are aimed to drill anti-terrorist joint measures together with units and formations of the Russian Defence Ministry, Interior Ministry, and the FSB border troops.

The command-and-staff exercises, under the code name Counterweight, will be held for two days in the Makhachkala port, Kaspiisk, the water area of the sea, and at other coastal facilities of Dagestan.
