"This is the major show of book industry in Russia," chairman of the organizing committee Vladimir Grigoryev said on Thursday.
According to him, Poland, China, Germany, Israel and France will send the biggest delegations. The French delegation will be most representative as in March 2005 Russia will be the Guest of Honor at the Paris Book Salon.
The results of the traditional Book of Year contest will be summed up on the opening day. The New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre will be the venue of the awarding ceremony.
Winners of the Book Art contest held for CIS book publishers for the first time will be announced at the book fair, Vladimir Grigoryev reported.
The exposition will occupy two VVTs pavilions and 350 book stalls.
