Meanwhile, Mohammad Khatami confirmed Iran's intention to continue building of nuclear power plants and providing nuclear fuel for them.
"This is our right to possess the whole cycle of fuel production and we are to make fuel for reactors producing electric energy and no country will prevent us from this," the Iranian President stressed.
Earlier in August Iran announced the resumption of the construction of a uranium enrichment centrifuge. It caused negative reaction of France and the United States, which are afraid of Iran's using enriched uranium for production of nuclear weapons.
At the moment Iran is building a nuclear power plant in Bushehr with the help of Russian experts. Russia is to supply fuel for the new plant. In compliance with the relevant Russian-Iranian agreement, wasted nuclear fuel from this plant will return to Russia.
