MOSCOW, August 30 (RIA Novosti) - The state commission investigating the Tu-134 and Tu-154 crashes on August 24 will focus on the version related to detection of explosives' traces in the planes' wrecks, Transportation Minster Igor Levitin, head of the state commission, told reporters on Monday.

"Following the Federal Security Service's report on detection of explosives' traces, the commission will work towards this version", said the minister.

He also said that the results of the flight recorders decoding did not make it possible to judge the character of the explosive device.

The black boxes decoding results led to the conclusion that the planes destruction occurred at the cruising altitude, noted Mr. Levitin.

According to him, the state commission will need four to six weeks for the investigation.

Colonel Sergei Ignatchenko, chief of the Russian Federal Security Service's Public Relations Center, told RIA Novosti that experts detected traces of explosives in wrecks of the Tu-134 and Tu-154 jets. According to him, in both cases it was hexogen.

The emergency button on the Tu-154 operated accidentally a few minutes after the aircraft's frame collapsed, said Mr. Levitin.

"The frame collapse resulted in technical short circuit", he said.

So, the minister stressed, "we cannot talk about the aircraft hijacking".

Igor Levitin has no doubts as to the correctness of the pilots' actions onboard the crashed Tu-134 and Tu-154.

"The pilots of the planes did everything right. The crew's words prove that they tried to save the plane", said the minister.

However, according to him, the pilots had no time to report what had happened.

The two passenger aircraft crashed on Tuesday night. The Tu-154 jet, of the Sibir airlines, was flying to Sochi while the TU-134, of Volga-Aviaexpress, was bound for Volgograd.

The Tu-134 crashed in the Tula region, and the Tu-154 crashed in the Rostov region.

A total 90 people were killed in the two crashes.
