FOREIGN MILITARY ATTACHES TO VISIT VLADIVOSTOK

VLADIVOSTOK, August 31. (RIA Novosti's Anatoly Ilyukhov) - A large group of foreign military attaches arrives from Moscow to the main base of the Russian Pacific Fleet, Vladivostok, on September 1st. The group includes 20 military attaches from 14 countries, RIA Novosti learned from the Fleet's press center on Tuesday.

In the Far East they will spend five days. The itinerary includes a meeting with the Fleet's commander Admiral Viktor Fedorov and head of the Vladivostok administration Vladimir Nikolayev.

The military diplomats will go out to sea on the big submarine hunter Admiral Panteleyev. Its crew will show their skills at a shooting exercise.

The guests will also visit a marine unit and a diesel submarine brigade.

The Pacific Fleet command views the visit as another opportunity to show Russia's openness and readiness for cooperation in the military sphere, the press center pointed out.
