WASHINGTON, August 31. (RIA Novosti's Arkady Orlov) - The US Republican Party supports George Bush's stand towards Russia, reads the party's election platform.
President Bush is building new relations with Russia based on the central reality of the fact that the USA and Russia are no longer strategic enemies, emphasizes the document which was unanimously adopted at the party congress on Monday.
President Bush is correctly redirecting our relations at the emerging and potential common interests and challenges, especially at expanding the existing cooperation in war on terror and at promoting mutually beneficial bilateral trade and investment," it reads.
