SARATOV. August 31 (RIA Novosti's Erik Batuyev) - The all-Russian conference "Libraries For Children and the Youth Within Time Management" will open in Saratov on August 31. The culture ministry of the Saratov region reported that taking part in the forum's work will be leading specialists in the library issues, museums' and publishing houses' employees, writers, and media representatives from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Krasnodar, Cheboksary, Kazan, Lipetsk, Ozersk, Saratov, Engels, Balakovo, and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is planned not only to consider the questions pertaining to the place and role of children's libraries in the regional information infrastructure, but also to discuss the problems of their interaction within the framework of the corporate projects and social programs.
The speech of the president of the Russian library, speaker of the Russian-speaking congress of Canada S. Rufanova will be devoted to the theme "Russian Library - the Information Center of Toronto (Canada) and Interaction with Russian Libraries."
A festival of information systems and presentation of specialized library programs for the work in the Internet will be part of the conference.
