BESLAN (North Caucasus), 4 Sept - RIA Novosti. Work in the rubble of School Number 1 in Beslan resumed on Saturday morning. Emergencies Ministry rescuers have been given instructions to work in the burnt out building and clear parts of the roof and the ceiling.
The school was cordoned off in the night.
The majority of those who died in the school gum were killed in explosion and the subsequent collapse of the roof, RIA Novosti learnt in the North Ossetian Interior Ministry.
Dozens of explosive devices remain in the gym and are hindering work to recover the bodies.
No precise figures are currently available for the tragedy in Beslan.
