BLAIR, GADDAFI CONDOLE WITH RUSSIA ON BESLAN TRAGEDY

MOSCOW, September 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Tony Blair of the UK are calling to build up global anti-terror efforts. They had a telephone conference today on Mr. Blair's initiative. Britain's Prime Minister expressed heartfelt condolence with the bereaved, and asked President Putin to pass his profound compassion to all injured in the heinous international terror act in Beslan, North Ossetia. President Putin thanked the Premier for his expression of solidarity, reports the Kremlin press service.

President Putin also had a telephone conference with Muammar al-Gaddafi, Libyan leader. On the latter's initiative. On his own behalf, and that of the Libyan nation and leaders, Mr. al-Gaddafi expressed heartfelt condolence and compassion with the Russian nation after the Beslan tragedy with an atrocious act of international terrorism. As he pointed out, Libya is willing, if necessary, to offer medical and humanitarian assistance to the survivors. President Putin thanked the Libyan leader for his expression of solidarity, Kremlin PR say in a statement.
