The main aim of the event is to formulate a common position of the business community and other parties concerned regarding their understanding of social responsibility and to goad Russian companies into purposeful moves to guide this process.
In the course of discussions, round table participants - representatives of companies and research organisations - will ventilate mechanisms to pursue a strategy of corporate social responsibility and ways of making this process transparent.
Igor Yurgens, RSPP vice-president and executive secretary, will preside over the forum.

It is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the RSPP, the Russian Union of Commodity Producers, the office of the presidential envoy to the Volga Federal District, and the Nizhny Novgorod regional government.
