As the organizers of the film festival reported, during the five days the animation and documentary novelties and the best animated cartoons of the past years will be shown not only in Samara but also in other cities and rural localities of the region.
The films selected by the experts for demonstration this year were grouped to be shown within one of the following sections: Films against Narcotic Drugs, Cinema and Outer Space, Russian Premieres, Reminiscences, The Path to Our Soul's Temple, International Program. The total of 48 films are expected to be shown here.
Shown within the section Russian Premieres will be feature films and documentaries which were shown at the Moscow Film Festival.
Within the framework of the festival Films for Children cinema-goers will be able to see films for children made by filmmakers and animation cartoonists from the Russian Federation and such countries as the Czech Republic, Japan, China, the U.S., Norway, Georgia, and Belarus.
