MOSCOW, September 8 (RIA Novosti) - The Aeroflot has suspended talks to purchase Georgian Airlines, what with current political developments in Georgia. They make the deal extremely vague, Valeri Okulov, Aeroflot/Russian Airlines Director General, said to the media.
Mr. Okulov announced the prospects toward last May's end. "The talks will take longer than a week," he remarked, May 28, during a Russian-Georgian business conference in Tbilisi.
As a Russian conferee informed Novosti those days, the Aeroflot was after the entire Georgian Airlines stock, and had by then initiated a relevant contract. "The deal is worth several million dollars," said our interviewee.
