The Chair of the Russian Auditing Chamber, Sergei Stepashin, spoke about its efforts to disrupt terrorist financing networks at Thursday's meeting with a South Korean parliamentary delegation, headed by Kim Hek Ken, presidential adviser on economics. The delegation was sent in as part of preparations for President Roh Moo Hyun's visit to Moscow later this month.
The sides spoke for more intensive cooperation between Russian and South Korean audit institutions and expressed confidence that parallel or joint audits would help improve economic relations between the two countries, including in areas such as power engineering, processing of natural resources, car manufacturing, high technologies, and the development of marine reserves.
