125 PEOPLE WOUNDED IN BESLAN SCHOOL MASSACRE STILL UNDERGOING TREATMENT AT MOSCOW'S CLINICS

MOSCOW, September 16 (RIA Novosti) - As of Thursday morning, 125 people wounded in the Beslan school massacre are still undergoing treatment at clinics across Moscow, reports the press department of Russia's Health & Social Development Ministry.

"There are 80 children and 45 adults staying in the clinics. Five of the patients are in critical condition; 36 of them, in grave condition; 65 others, in serious condition; and the remaining 19, in satisfactory condition," a ministry spokeswoman said. According to her, three people undergone surgical operations yesterday, two of them children.

According to officials of the Moscow Health Department, 25 of those wounded in Beslan have not yet checked out of the clinics under the department's control.

"One man, five women, and nineteen children from Beslan are still in the hospitals [under the Moscow Health Department's control]. One person is in critical condition; seven others, in grave condition; sixteen, in serious condition; and the remaining one, in satisfactory condition," Lyubov Zhomova, the department's Press Officer, reports. According to her, one of the Beslan patients was discharged yesterday.

North Ossetian television has reported the Prosecutor's Office as saying that as of Wednesday, 82 bodies of those killed as a result of the Beslan school siege still remain unidentified. Six more bodies were reportedly identified yesterday.

According to official statistics, the Beslan hostage-taking crisis claimed 338 lives.
