The commission unsealed boxes in which local people had been putting their statements and proposals addressed to the commission. All messages except two were anonymous, said Alexander Torshin, commission head.
The entire correspondence has been filed in, and commission members are perusing it.

Letters and oral statements come in pouring every day, and each demands a thorough check. At present, the commission has more than 500 items on its agenda, Mr. Torshin went on.
Whenever commission people cannot settle a baffling matter on the spot, he directly addresses Speaker Sergei Mironov of the Federation Council. That was the case, for instance, after forensic experts asked special gadgetry and other equipment.
"We don't feel whatever pressure. We largely owe that, too, to this bridge," remarked Torshin.
Today, the parliamentarians met officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) North Osset Board, and soldiers of republican Interior units stationed in Beslan. Commission members also talked to forensic experts. DNA tests are under special control. "That's a tormenting topic, and it demands special tact," said Alexander Torshin.
