MOSCOW, September 25 (RIA Novosti) - By Friday evening, no application was submitted for participation in the auction on the sale of the state-held package of Lukoil (7.59%), a source close to auction organizers told RIA Novosti.

The Russian Federal Property Fund (RFFI) refused to comment on this information.

"Journalists will receive a list of auction participants immediately before the start of bids," said RFFI official representative Vladimir Zelentsov. He noted that applications from participants will also be accepted on Monday, September 27, until 5 p.m. Moscow time. Monday is a deadline for submitting documents. The auction is scheduled for September 29.

The state-held package's initial price is $1.928 billion.

The ConocoPhillips company was the main contender for buying the state package. Promsvyazbank, whose shareholders approved this decision, voiced the intention to take part in the auction. IFD Kapital, mentioned by Lukoil head Vagit Alekperov, will also participate.
